Color steel sheet (also known as pre-painted steel sheet) is a high-performance coated steel product. It is manufactured by cleaning, chemical coating, and baking a layer of organic paint (polyester, PVDF, or acrylic) on the surface of galvanized or galvanized-aluminum steel substrate. Combining the strength of steel with the corrosion resistance and aesthetic appeal of the coating, it is a versatile building and industrial material widely used in construction, home appliances, transportation, and other fields.
Core Characteristics
Superior Corrosion Resistance: The combination of metal substrate (galvanized/zinc-aluminum alloy) and protective coating forms a dual barrier against rust and corrosion. It withstands harsh environments like humidity, UV radiation, and industrial fumes.
Aesthetic Versatility: Available in a wide range of colors (solid, metallic, or matte finishes) and surface textures (smooth, embossed, or striped). It eliminates the need for secondary painting and adapts to diverse design needs.
Lightweight & High Strength: With a thickness range of 0.12-2.0mm, it is lightweight yet maintains excellent tensile and bending strength. It reduces structural load while ensuring structural stability.
Easy Processing & Installation: It can be easily cut, bent, rolled, or punched into custom shapes. The pre-painted surface avoids on-site painting, shortening construction/processing cycles and reducing labor costs.
Durable & Cost-Effective: The coating has strong adhesion and weather resistance, with a service life of 10-25 years (depending on the coating type). It requires minimal maintenance and offers long-term cost savings compared to uncoated steel.
Typical Applications
Construction industry: Roofing, wall cladding, sandwich panel substrates, prefabricated buildings, and steel structure envelopes.
Home appliances: Refrigerator doors, washing machine casings, air conditioner panels, and kitchen cabinet panels.
Transportation: Truck bodies, trailer enclosures, ship interiors, and railway carriage components.
Industrial fields: Workshop partitions, equipment casings, storage racks, and advertising billboards.
Decoration: Interior wall panels, ceiling tiles, and decorative trim for commercial spaces.
